Phyllis Leonard

Phyllis Leonard, a longtime resident of North Pownal, passed away Sunday, August 23 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born September 9, 1932 in North Pownal, VT, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Everett W. and Stella I. (LaFrance) Bartlett Sr. and the wife, for over 69 years, to Ralph Leonard Jr. of North Pownal. Phyllis worked at the Pownal Tannery for many years until retiring to take care of her ill mother. In the summers she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Phyllis is survived by her husband Ralph and her four children: daughter Kim Krause (Mark), sons Ralph (Lisa), Mark, Jeff (Kim) and the beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren that she adored.
Graveside services for Phyllis will be held Friday Aug 28th at 12pm Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal, VT.
