George L. Foucher, 68, a resident of Bennington, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026 at home.
George was born on December 21, 1957 to Nancy A. Murphy and Richard R. Foucher in Cleveland, OH.
George worked at the Green Mountain Race Track in his younger years, and was a great tree arborist in VT, NY, and CT. He also drove limo in New Jersey where he met many famous people.
George loved to cook for his family and friends; he cooked food for the residents at Brookside Apartments where he lived. George also loved to go fishing; he really enjoyed the outdoors.
George is survived by two estranged sons, three sisters: Cathy Yarnal and husband George Yarnal, Ramona Ahearn, Nannette Amidon, Donna Sherman and husband Bill Sherman. Two brothers, Richard R. Foucher, Patrick M. Foucher and wife Karen Foucher. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
George is predeceased by his mother and father, aunts, uncles, and some cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on September 19, 2026. Location and time will be disclosed at a later date to family and friends.
