Ferd H. Jones

Ferd H. Jones, 91, longtime resident of Bennington, VT passed away on June 16, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Ferd was born on June 24, 1934 in Hoosick Falls, NY to the late Carl and Lucy (Hakes) Jones. He was one of six children.

Ferd was especially knowledgeable and interested in working with automobiles. He worked in several dealerships as a car body repairman in the Bennington area. In addition to his career, Ferd was a member of the Bennington Eagles Club and the Bennington Fire Department. He will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated man, who will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.

Ferd is survived by his fiancé, Janet Michaels. His children, Keneth Jones, Keith Jones (Gen), Kathy Kimball, Kelly Delapena (Steve), Adam Jones, His stepchildren Debbie Rice, Allyson Jasmin, Wendy Calleart, Valerie Zwiercan, Wayne Giroux, Darlene Lockwood, Marcella Giroux, Kimberly Harrington, Melinda Harrington, James Michaels, David Michaels, and Lynne Wilson. His siblings: Lester Jones, and Barbara Rosenburg. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ferd was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Lucy Jones. HIs deceased spouses, Joan Browe, Donna Roberson, and Irene Giroux Jones. His siblings: Irene Jones, Tom Jones, Ed Cutler, and his stepson, Keith Giroux.

Funeral services will be held on June 25, 2026 at E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home located at 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT. A time for visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM, with a Memorial service to follow starting at 11:30 AM. The burial will be private.
