David was born on September 17, 1935 in Wheeling, West Virginia; grew up in Ohio; and went to college in Massachusetts; working there, as well as around the world, for much of his life. After he retired, he remained in Massachusetts for several years until he moved to Florida, before he made his final move to New York.
He is predeceased by his parents, Francis H. and Sarah (Sally) R.J. (Darby) Wright, and three brothers; Francis H., Jr., Kenneth N., and Richard L. Wright.
He is survived by four children and their spouses: Liz Wright and Scott Segee, Hugh and Rebecca Wright, Kathryn and Philip Tura, and David Wright and Carolyn Jones. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: George Segee-Wright, James Segee-Wright, Jacob Tura, Serena Tura, Olivia Tura, Charlotte Jones Wright and William Wright.
A private memorial will be held at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to your local hospice through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
