Daniel Briggs, 66, of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2026. Following a lengthy illness, he spent his final moments comforted by the presence of his devoted family.
Dan spent several years working alongside his father in the plumbing trade. He also shared his talents within the restaurant industry and dedicated time to his work in laundry services and with WCW.
Dan was a man of many talents, he was a gifted artist and musician who also found great joy in cooking, gardening, and learning about space.
Dan was known as a humble, loving, and caring individual. Whether he was sharing a story, cracking a joke, or offering support to his friends and family, his presence was a gift. He will be missed by many and loved for generations.
He is survived by his loving wife, April Briggs, and his children: Nicholos Briggs, Laura Briggs, Tyler (Krystyn) Briggs, Trever Briggs, Rachelle (Alexis) Ferguson, Tiffany Briggs, and Ted Briggs. As well as his step-children Travis Hunt, Mitchel (Kristy) Hunt, Laci Hunt, and Joseph Chellis. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren—Corbin, Brody, Ian, Lilly, Bryson, Oaklynn, and Giulia—and ten step-grandchildren: Colin, Aiden, Jamie, Anthony, Mitchel James, Gracie, Landen, Cooper, Eliana, and Tonya. He is also survived by his brother, Kevin (Sue) Briggs, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Ted Briggs, as well as his brother, Mark Briggs.
